This simple and functional gadget is used to hunt insects!  It’s made of Taboca, (bamboo’s cousin) and it shoots long, pointy thorns taken from the tucumã tree. Silence and persistence are a must for hitting your target: grasshoppers and horseflies. After the insects are captured, they remain alive, and are tied to a long piece of hair. A little paper message is tied to the other end of the hair, and the insect is let loose.
